Yuriko HAMADA
Ms. Hamada is a Representative Partner of Eikoh Patent Firm since 2011. She received her degree in Chemistry from the University of Tokyo, and after graduation, worked for Sagami Chemical Research Center. She registered as a patent attorney in 1983, and then worked for a Japanese patent firm. She has been with Eikoh Patent Firm since 1985, with a three-year hiatus from 2006 to 2009, when she was selected by Japanese Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA) as one of seven judicial research officials having technical backgrounds in the Intellectual Property Division of Tokyo District Court. She is an Executive Director of Japanese Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA) from 2013 to 2015.

Kenji KITAJIMA
Mr. Kitajima joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2013 and is a Partner since 2015. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Waseda University. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 2013. Before he joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2013, he worked at the JPO, initially as a Patent Examiner, an Appeal Examiner, and a Director in the Appeals Department of the JPO.

Huawei ZHANG
Mr. Zhang is qualified as Chinese attorney at law, Chinese patent attorney and Japanese patent attorney. After his graduation from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics majoring in Software Engineering, He continued his studying in Chinese Law in Renmin University of China. He also has working experience in a famous Chinese IP Law Firm dealing with Chinese patent prosecution and litigation.

Kimihide HASHIMOTO
Mr. Hashimoto received his master's degree in Physics/Material Engineering from Yokohama National University. He joined NGB Corporation, Patent Department directly after graduation, where he worked exclusively on cases related to foreign IP. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 2001. He moved from NGB Corporation, Patent Department to Eikoh Patent Firm in 2004.He is also a Registered Management Consultant.

Kuniko FURUDATE (Ph.D.)
Dr. Furudate received her doctorate in Biochemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology. She registered as a Patent Attorney in 2003, and worked for a Japanese patent firm. She joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2006.

Masaaki YOSHIDA
Mr. Yoshida received his master's degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering from Osaka Prefecture University. He worked for several major Japanese electronics manufacturers, and registered as a Patent Attorney in 2005. He joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2009.

Shoko YAMASHITA
Ms. Yamashita graduated from Keio University, Department of English and American Literature, and received a master's degree in Intellectual Property from Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, Hitotsubashi University. She registered as a Patent Attorney in 2006. After she worked for a Japanese patent firm, she joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2013, where she represents primarily trademark-related issues before the JPO.

Hitomi BANDO
Ms. Bando graduated from Chuo University, Faculty of Law, Department of Law. She registered as a Patent Attorney in 2007. After she worked for NGB Corporation, Trademark Department, where she handled cases related to foreign trademarks, she joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2016, where she represents primarily trademark-related issues before the JPO.

Keiko GOTO
Ms. Goto received her master's degree in Micro Systems Engineering from Nagoya University. She joined Eikoh Patent Firm directly after graduation. Then, after she was transferred to NGB Corporation, Patent Department, where she worked exclusively on cases related to foreign IP, she rejoined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2016. She registered as a Patent Attorney in 2011.

Tomoko YAMAZAKI
Ms. Yamazaki received her master's degree in Chemical/Material Science from Nagoya University. She joined Eikoh Patent Firm directly after graduation, and registered as a Patent Attorney in 2011.

Fumihiro MIKI
Mr. Miki received his master's degree in Chemistry from Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University. He worked for IP department of major Japanese automotive company directly after graduation, and registered as a Patent Attorney in 2007. He joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2017.

Daisuke MORINO
Mr. Morino received his master's degree in Micro Systems Engineering from Nagoya University. He joined NGB Corporation, Patent Department directly after graduation, where he worked exclusively on cases related to foreign IP. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 2012. He joined Eikoh Patent Firm, P.C. in 2015 after working for other patent firm.

Megumi HOMMA
Ms. Homma received a master's degree in Material Science and Engineering from Graduate School of Engineering, Yokohama National University. She joined Eikoh Patent Firm after graduation, and registered as a Patent Attorney in 2013.

Tatsuya HANASAKA
Mr. Hanasaka received his master's degrees in Electrical and Communication Engineering from Tohoku University and Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. After he worked for a Japanese patent firm, he joined NGB Corporation, Patent Department, where he worked exclusively on cases related to foreign IP. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 2013. He moved from NGB Corporation, Patent Department to Eikoh Patent Firm in 2014.

Koji YOKOKAWA
Mr. Yokokawa received his master's degree in Material Chemistry from Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University. He joined NGB Corporation, Patent Department directly after graduation, where he worked exclusively on cases related to foreign IP. He received training at Sughrue Mion, PLLC in the United States and passed the U.S. Patent Agent examination in 2011. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 2013. He moved from NGB Corporation, Patent Department to Eikoh Patent Firm in 2014.

Shingo TAKESHITA
Mr. Takeshita graduated from Kyoto University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Bioresource Science. He worked as a public employee directly after graduation, and then joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2014. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 2014.

Kazuma SUZUKI
Mr. Suzuki received his master's degree in Chemistry from Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University. He joined NGB Corporation, IP Research Institute directly after graduation, where he worked as a researcher for validity, novelty & infringement clearance search and technology analysis based on patent information. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 2015, and joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2017.

Kensuke Ohtani
Mr. Ohtani graduated from Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and registered as a Pharmacist. He worked for a major Japanese pharmaceutical company directly after graduation. He joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 2016, and registered as a Patent Attorney in 2017.

Hironori HONDA
Mr. Honda is a former Senior Partner and now an Advisor to Eikoh Patent Firm. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Fukui University. He registered as a Patent Attorney in 1994. Before he joined Eikoh Patent Firm in 1994, he was a Patent Examiner, an Appeal Examiner, and a Director in the Appeals Department of the JPO.
